Starbucks Staff United is working with Staff United Upstate, “a union with expertise constructing barista energy,” according to its website.
The Staff United Labor Union is a subsidiary of the Service Workers Worldwide Union, which represents staff within the textiles and manufacturing industries, in addition to eating places and occasional outlets.
